Home Education & Alternative Learning

English support for home-educated and alternative learners

Northbridge Tutoring supports students who are learning outside a traditional school setting, including home-educated students, online learners, flexi-schooling families and students who need a calmer, more personalised route through English.

We offer structured English teaching, reading and writing development, GCSE and IGCSE preparation, creative writing, EAL support and one-to-one tuition tailored to each student's needs. Our approach is calm, clear and academically ambitious - giving families the reassurance of expert teaching without the pressure of a crowded classroom.

  • GCSE and IGCSE preparation
  • Reading, writing and essay skills
  • Creative writing and book-based learning
  • EAL and international student support
  • Calm support for SEN and neurodivergent learners (dyslexia, ADHD, autism)
  • Flexible online tuition for UK and international families

The process

How our courses work

01

Choose the right course

Tell us about your child's curriculum, age and goals, and we will help you choose the most suitable course.

02

Join a small live class

Students learn in a carefully matched group where they can ask questions, practise and receive individual attention.

03

Receive clear feedback

Written work is marked with precise, practical feedback so students know exactly what to improve.

04

Build lasting confidence

Students leave with stronger skills, better structures and resources they can return to.
